Struggling to make your profile stand out in the online dating world?

I don’t know about you, but one of the hardest things I found out about online dating was that whole thing about describing who you are in a way that makes you stand out from the crowd.

Truth was, although I liked to think of myself as unique I was in fact the same, give or take, as everyone else out there in the dating ether. At the time, I liked clubbing, festivals, dinner out, take aways, red wine, the occasional yoga class, going to Brixton Academy, Eddie Izzard, listening to Kiss FM, hanging out with my friends, fry ups at the weekends, gigs etc.

So I was, in fact, exactly the same as a vast number of my ‘rivals’. It was a struggle to figure out how to make myself stand out in a way that would bring on the dates.

What I’ve since realised is that it would have been more helpful if I had focused less on the need to be unique and more on finding a unique way to tell my story.“

And this is partly where my business idea came from. I realised that, through my photography, I can help people explore and find a different way to express themselves. Photographs can be used to showcase the bands you like, what you do at the weekend, your influences, your favourite pub etc. But there will be lots of other ways to tackle this challenge once you put your mind to it.

Get this nailed and you’ll be ahead of the game. Well, until the time when everyone gets it nailed. Then we’ll have to figure out other ways to be different.
